LED Eco-Downlight and LED Pendants Each Win Prestigious Design Award
CHICAGO – CSL® (Creative Systems Lighting) has been presented with the prestigious 2014 Green GOOD DESIGN™ award for two of their LED products: their 3″ LED Eco-Downlight and LED pendants. Presented by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, the Green GOOD DESIGN™ Awards are an extension of the GOOD DESIGN™ Awards. The GOOD DESIGN™ Awards were founded in Chicago in 1950 by renowned architects, holding much clout in searching for the most innovative product designs. The Green GOOD DESIGN™ Awards follow suit by focusing on practices, products and architecture that are environmentally sound yet also cutting-edge.

3” Eco-Downlight LED The 3” Eco-Downlight LED is a high-performance, energy efficient, specification grade fixture designed for commercial and residential lighting applications. It is offered in remodel, new construction and IC adjustable airtight versions. The product stands apart in the LED marketplace by offering a higher level of light output, light quality and overall performance than most 3” LED downlights. Modular trims and interchangeable optics make the lights useful for a large number of commercial and residential environments and applications. Field replaceable components assure easy maintenance and long-term product sustainability. The downlights are also designed with ease of installation in-mind for trade professionals.
Key features of the 3” Eco-Downlight LED include: 16 system watts; 1250 lumens; 50,000 hours at 70 percent lumen maintenance (L70); 80 and 85 CRI packages; compatible with Triac (incandescent) dimmers; four interchangeable optics to include 25-, 45-, 65- and 85-degree beam spreads; modularity of square and round trims that mate in the same housing; field-replaceable light engine and driver; light engine coded for performance maintenance replacement; emergency remote battery backup available; and being UL/C-UL Listed for damp locations.
LED Pendants The LED Pendant collection offers high-performance, energy efficient, decorative LED fixtures with clean, contemporary lines. Designed for use in commercial as well as residential environments, the collection includes 2″ aperture (14W, 800 lumens), 3″ aperture (16W, 1250 lumens) and 5″ aperture (38W, 2500 lumens) models. Features include: 50,000 hours at 70 percent lumen maintenance (L70); Triac (incandescent) dimmable; field-replaceable light engine and driver; light engines coded for performance maintenance replacement; extruded aluminum bodies; machined aluminum end caps; and spun aluminum canopy. Each pendant comes with interchangeable optic lenses to include 25-, 45- and 65-degree beam spreads. Optional 12- and 85-degree optic lenses are available. All pendants are UL/C-UL listed for damp locations.
There are few decorative LED fixtures on the market that can match the LED Pendant’s level of light output and overall performance.
